Here to Guide Your Family Through One of the Hardest Transitions in Life

I’m Dannielle Young — mediator, family lawyer and parent-focused dispute resolution specialist. For nearly two decades I’ve supported separating families to move from uncertainty and conflict to stability, safety and clarity.

About me - Why I Care About This Work

I’m Dannielle Young, an Accredited Mediator & Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP) supporting separating families across Brisbane and the Gold Coast (online appointments available Australia wide). With nearly 20 years’ experience in family law and a psychology background, I help parents reach practical, child-focused agreements about parenting arrangements and property—without the stress and cost of court.

I’ve seen how prolonged conflict can affect parents and children long after separation. I truly believe that while separation is painful, it doesn’t need to cause long-term damage. Mediation gives families the opportunity to communicate safely, address underlying issues and create parenting or property arrangements that feel fair and workable.

Helping families reduce conflict and step into a more stable, hopeful future is the reason I do this work.

A Bit More About Me

Outside the mediation room, I’m happiest spending time with my two Shih Tzus or heading off-grid in my MDC caravan. I’m a strong supporter of local small businesses and my community, and I bring those same values of connection and care to my work with families.

Written with care and clarity, Dannielle focuses on what matters most — protecting children, maintaining connection, and staying prepared when routines shift and distances grow.

This isn’t fear-driven advice. It’s calm, practical guidance for staying connected and resilient when life pulls people apart.

If you are navigating separation — or supporting someone who is — this book is a must read.
